POOF!

Poison Ivy raised her hands to her lips and blew a cloud of pink powder at Batman’s face.

Poison Ivy glared at him. “Go to sleep, Batman,” she said.

Batman glared at Poison Ivy. “No,” he growled.

Poison Ivy stepped backward, shocked that her powder hadn’t knocked Batman out cold. “What?! How —? Why didn’t that work?!” she screamed.

“I was ready for you this time, Ivy,” Batman said.

TAP! TAP! TAP!

Batman tapped on a transparent shield around his nose and mouth. “Your charms don’t work on me,” Batman said with a grin.

Ivy balled up her fists at her sides and screamed, “Get him!”

Batman yanked his arms hard toward his Utility Belt. The resistance from the vines that were wrapping around him was stronger than he’d anticipated. But he pulled and pulled until his right hand reached his belt.
